Leave no trace
Plan Ahead and Prepare
Bring the essentials: food, water, climbing gear, chalk etc.
Travel and Camp on Durable Surfaces
Walk on established trails and camp in established sites; avoid social trails if possible.
Dispose of Waste Properly
If you have to poop, dig a cathole at least 200 feet away from water, campsites, and trails. Thoroughly bury toilet paper or, better yet, pack it out in a plastic bag. PACK OUT all your trash, including biodegradable items like banana peels and apple cores.
Leave What You Find
Yes, that is a cool looking rock. Leave it where it is and take a photo.
Minimize Campfire Impacts
Collect firewood only where permitted. DO NOT burn any hazardous materials! Take any trash left in fire-pit.
Respect Wildlife
You’re on their land. Be respectful to natures occupants.
Be Considerate of Other Visitors
You may be a good climber, cool story bruh, but no-one cares and want to hear their partner communicating. Climbing is challenging enough and have to deal with raging river noise, highway noise and heavy wind - so please refrain from airing out you one night stand, please don’t blast your speaker, please don’t air your problems. Share the space and be respectful of others. You are not the only climber. Manage your kids and pets as well.
